Woman of Business
I remember once at a woman’s conference, the pastor looked me in the eye and told me that I was a sales person, and that God had created me for business. I felt my whole body shake and knew how true it was. For years, I did not know how to use my gifts and really take on entrepreneurship. I believed adulting included set schedules, a certain kind of job that has been defined, and more. In fact, God had something completely different in mind for me, and it has taken years to accept being a woman of business. I live for creativity, for design, staging and selling homes, and creating content for our real estate team. I take this same creativity into motherhood and being a wife. The flow I live in is for God and the purpose he has created for me. It takes courage and falling down and getting back up again to live a life designed specifically for you. A life so bold that only you were created to carry it out. What does that life look like for you? I stopped listening to other people’s opinions of what I “should” do, and started believing in doing what I was created for. It’s still a journey and it’s always changing, yet the exchange of being of service to others using my gifts cannot compare. What does this life look like for you?
Here are a few things that got me started on this path.
I wrote down all of my gifts and ways I love to service people
I wrote down a list of jobs that would fit my gifts, including jobs that I made up that did not even exist yet. (((This is what started Baltazar Living Staging)))
Even when I had a full time job to meet finances, I began working towards these careers.
I created plans, wrote down everything I heard during prayer, or anything that caught my eye that I wanted to implement into my career.
I took risks and began emerging myself using all of gifts without being attached to a result. I trusted God in taking me in the right direction.
I hope these tips can be of use to you in creating something you have been working toward recently. Do not give up, even during the not so fun parts. Living a life on purpose is always rewarded.
